Doves. Perhaps worse than puppies.

After a pretty heavy round of storms, I stumbled upon two mourning dove babies on the ground. They were in a high traffic area, and I MIGHT have had a few strong ales that night...

I know the cats in our complex, and this would be FAR too easy a meal for those guys...So I took them home, and have been feeding them baby bird food. One of them has doubled in size, the other remains a runt. Also, the seem to smell an awful lot like bacon. This is making my dog VERY interested.

  6. They're good with shake & bake, dove hunting is a traditon in Tx, in fact... it's about to be dove season

  13. awwww...sitting so comfortably on your palm :) i once had a sparrow shivering in the balcony on a rainy day..i kept her warm for a while and then let her go :)
