The Grapefruit Tunnel Trail

Today was one busy day - meetings, phone calls, more meetings, a rotation show, another meeting, shopping and dinner.

Yet we still managed to kick it outside with our dog. My wife and I recently discovered a trail near the downtown Fayetteville area called the "Grapefruit Tunnel Trail." Thanks from a tip from my buddy, José.

I ended up taking only a few photos - I just wanted to hang out, really. But there are a few cool shots I got...

Nothing too exciting, just a young robin. Something about it compelled me to take it's picture. Probably alien mind control.

Grass! Leaves! A FLOWER! HOLY CRAP!

These bubbles were pretty cool. All over the place in a small puddle. I thought at first that they may be eggs, but they appear to be simple bubbles.

A FREAKING FROG. SERIOUSLY. A frog. In a pond. In the South. Weird, huh?

These rocks grabbed our attention, and upon closer examination, we discovered a nice cache of crinoid fossils.

Pretty cool respite from the doldrums of day-to-day life. It's hot. Damn hot. Too hot. Can I get an amen?

  48. Interesting... I noticed in the first shot there were clouds, and it's interesting how that has had an effect on the photos you took afterwards. They all seem to have a nice dark and mysterious lighting to them, which is great.
    Keep up the great photography!
