It appears that Dish Network has placed the winning bid for what remains of the once mighty
Blockbuster empire. From the article:
"Blockbuster will complement our existing video offerings while presenting cross-marketing and service extension opportunities for Dish Network," said Tom Cullen, executive vice president of sales, marketing and programing for Dish Network.
I don't know why this makes me happy. Perhaps it was the year or so I spent working at a Blockbuster
as a kid. Either way, if a media company can stay vital, I'm all for it!
